A campaign to benefit KILI Radio and the Porcupine Clinic

The Lakota people have a rich heritage as a powerful Great Plains Indian nation.   The word Lakota translated into English means friend, neighbor, ally.

Allies of the Lakota is dedicated to protecting the culture, heritage and health and of the Lakota people. It is a joint campaign of two grassroots, community-controlled, highly successful organizations:

  • KILI Radio, "Voice of the Lakota Nation," the largest Indian-owned and operated public radio station in America

Neither of these organizations were started by the government, or by a charity trying to "save" Indians. Both are independent Lakota owned and operated institutions, their services and operations deeply rooted in Lakota culture.  Both are founded in the belief that community control of health care, education and communications is the key to bettering the lives of our people and ending the cycle of poverty.

Through our work at the Porcupine Clinic and KILI Radio, we are making a difference -- one family at a time.  We are healing each other and rebuilding a proud nation. Every dollar of your tax-deductible donation goes directly to the Porcupine Clinic and KILI Radio equally, to serve the needs of the Lakota people.
