Lakota Express
has excellent project management capabilities as well the ability
to conduct thorough organizational evaluations
and reorganization.
Karlene Hunter, CEO of Lakota Express, holds a master
degree in tribal management and has over 25 years experience
working with non-profits. She is a highly skilled administrator
who has assembled a team of experts that can be called when major
reorganization is necessary.
Ms. Hunter led
the effort to save the Lakota Fund, the only commercial lender
on the reservation. The work has resulted in a re-energized
organization with a solid management and development plan that
most recently helped Lakota Fund win the Great Strides Award
for poverty reduction from the Northwest Area Foundation.
